Trip Introduction:
Helambu Circuit Trek is an easy & short trip, but it offers spectaculars mountain scenery. The Mani walls, monasteries, and Yolmo culture are the major highlights of the Helambu area. Helambu is a part of Langtang and Gosainkunda trek. Moreover, it is one among the closest treks from Kathmandu.
Helambu Circuit Trek: sights and sounds
Helambu Circuit trek begins from Sundarijal since the trail usually passes through the Tamang and Sherpa villages. The trek allows the beautiful views of the chain of the snow-capped peaks from the Tharepati. It is the highest point of the trek. Afterwards, a steep descends, take you to Melamchi Ghyang, but it is a secret village where Guru Rimpoche was meditated within the eighth century. It is a pleasant trek to Shermathang while it takes place through the jungle of oaks and pines. The monasteries on the trail end the most remarkable visit — a small hill station called Gang Hyul which showing an impressive witness of villages. Then, the trail continues to walk on the ridge of the hillside with a majestic terrain of gorgeous rice tract — furthermore, walk-down to Melamchi pul bazaar where the trek ends.
Trekking to Helambu village is a less- crowded trekking trail than another part of Langtang region. Besides, precise and easy trekking provides you with a great way of experience and dramatic landscapes. Hence, the Helambu Circuit trekking is ideal for the family and kids. Helambu is getting most popular among the trekkers due to its favourable weather, culture, and lifestyle of the Yolmo community. As a result, it attempts a wide range of biological diversification, stunning views, charming villages, and pure experience.
Day 01 Arrive in Kathmandu (1,300 m) & Transfer to Hotel
Day 02 Kathmandu sightseeing & Trekking Preparation Day
Day 03 Drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal (1hr ) and trek to Chisapani (2,300 m) 4hrs
Day 04 Trek from Chisapani to Kutumsang (2,446 m)
Day 05 Trek from Kutumsang to Tharepati / Helumbu Circuit (3,597m)
Day 06 Trek Back from Tharepati to Tarkeghyang (2,560 m)
Day 07 Trek from Tarkeghyang to Sermathang (2,610 m)
Day 08 Drive to Kathmandu (6hrs) & Transfer to Hotel, Farewell Dinner
Day 09 Transfer to the Airport for Final Departure
