Trip Introduction:
Himalayan Global Trek is a newly opened trek introduced in 2019. This trek travels through Makalu-Barun National Park Region in Sankhuwasabha District of Nepal. It is a new introduction and addition from Himalayan Global Expedition.
We have worked extremely hard to chart out the route details. For instance, obtain permission from the government and clearing the trails. Naturally, we did inspect each village and finally managed the overall feasibility of the entire trek. Hence, It is a pleasure to say that we are the only company to offer this trekking experience.
Himalayan Global Trek: travel into the wilderness
Being a part of this new trekking route, is an experience, forever imprinted in our memories. This route takes us deep into rural Nepal, where foreigners have never stepped foot. As a result, the villages are so authentic that it mesmerizes us.
We travel to Tumlingtar, a remote airstrip above Arun Khola (river). From here, we drive north to Khandbari, the district administrative town of Sankhuwasabha and stay overnight. We drive further north to Num and start our trek. Along the way, we traverse through dense evergreen forests filled with a variety of rhododendrons that bloom during April – June. We mostly trek along the dense high altitude forest line and vast open pastures. Towards the north, we see the famed mountains like Makalu, Chyamuling etc. Towards the northeast, we see Singshala Peak along with smaller ice-capped peaks.
Throughout the entire trek, we camp out in the wild or in villages and interact with local villagers. We get to listen to their tales and stories. This is a new adventure trek, Himalayan Global Expedition is proud to bring.
