Trip Introduction:
Langtang Gosaikunda Trek takes travellers to the far-flung but scenically beautiful Langtang valley. We trek to the high mountain lakes at Gosaikunda. It is one of the most revered pilgrimage sites in Nepal. Thousands of people visit this glacial lake every August. There is a belief that Lord Shiva used his trident to create this Holy Lake. During the trip, we also visit the beautiful Langtang National Park.
Langtang Gosaikunda Trek: The unforgettable experience
The trip takes us north, out of Kathmandu along the mountainous winding road. Further on, driving through Trishuli Bazaar we reach Dhunche. It is a Sherpa village located at the very edge of the Langtang National Park. It is the starting point of this incredible trekking adventure. We walk through some rice terraces and Buddhist monasteries. Climbing up along a gorge-like lower section of the valley, we are mesmerised. The sceneries take our breath away! We pass through the dense oak and rhododendron forests and even cross glacial moraines as we reach our trekking destination. From the far end of the Langtang valley, we enjoy the wonderful mountains views.
During the trek, travellers are acquainted with Tibet like topographical landscapes and an opportunity to explore Tibetan Buddhism cultures. The Langtang Gosaikunda trek is suitable for all travellers. Especially looking forward to having a moderately challenging adventure. Trekkers travel across hills, explore forests and enjoy the sights of the Himalayas.
Day 01 Arrival Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel
Day 02 Drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche (1,965m) 6-7 hrs
Day 03 Trek from Dhunche to Chandanbari 4 hrs
Day 04 Trek from Chandanbari to Gosaikunda Lake (4,460m) via Lauribinayak (6 hrs)
Day 05 Trek from Gosaikunda to Sing Gompa (3,330m) 4 hrs
Day 06 Trek from Sing Gompa to Dhunche (1,950m) 7 hrs
Day 07 Drive from Dhunche to Kathmandu 7-8 hrs
Day 08 Kathmandu Sightseeing & Farewell Dinner
Day 09 Transfer to the Airport for Final Departure
