1. THE CONTRACT
Please go through the following Terms and Condition that govern the relationship between you (client)
and Himalayan Global Expedition (P) Limited (hereinafter referred to as “the company “), with company registration number: 77506/068 and registered with the Government of Nepal.
Please note that you are agreeing by the terms and conditions while booking any trip/packages or itinerary. You are also agreeing to the cancellation policy and certain limitation of liability at the same time. Both parties agree to these terms and conditions to resolve any legal or other disputes that may arise during the trip.
2. BOOKING A TRIP
A trip refers to any product itinerary or activities purchased from the company. Includes but not limited to trekking, peak climbing, tours, mountaineering expedition, and/or other adventure and tour programmes that you purchase or book. It is, confirmed only when the company sends a confirmation invoice. It is at this point a contract between the company and the client comes into existence.
3. DEPOSIT REQUIREMENT
(a) For all Nepal trekking/tours: At the time of booking you are required to make a 10% deposit of the total trip cost. You can pay the remaining full amount upon your arrival in Kathmandu and before the commencement of your trip.
(b) For mountain expedition above 6500m in Nepal: At the time of booking you are required to make a 20% deposit of expedition cost. You can pay the remaining full amount upon your arrival in Kathmandu and before the commencement of the expedition.
(c) India/ Tibet / Bhutan Trips: At time of booking a deposit of 10% is due along with airfares (if the client wants the company to arrange it) before 21 days of trip commencement. However, if you are booking 15 days or less prior to departure, full payment has to be paid upon booking the trip/itinerary.
4. FLIGHT DELAYS AND CHANGES IN THE ITINERARY
Please note that we rely on domestic flights while undertaking treks, expeditions and peak climbing in remote regions. These flights depend on current weather situations that drastically change without warning. Sometimes adverse weather conditions can cause domestic flight delays or even cancellations. In case, of a delayed or a cancelled domestic flight, the client is solely responsible to bear all additional expenses, including food and accommodation costs, your personal expenses before or after the trip etc. However, Himalayan Global Expedition will take responsibility for all other arrangements as per defined itinerary. The company will bear extra expenses incurred on guide and other staff in case of delayed or cancelled flights.
If you wish to make alternative arrangements such as helicopter charters to avoid flight delays and international flight misses due to these delays or cancellations, all additional cost would be your (client’s) responsibility. The company will not take any responsibility for any costs incurred as a result. However, the company will surely assist in making alternative arrangements wherever possible. We recommend always keep some extra time when you trek and climb in the Himalayas and make sure your international flight ticket has a flexible date.
Also, note that while on the trip, sometimes we may have to make changes in the itinerary. This mainly due to unforeseen reasons like landslides, natural disasters, bad weather, and health conditions. Himalayan Global Expedition will not be responsible for any additional costs incurred due to such situations.
5. INJURIES AND EVACUATION:
Himalayan Global Expedition will not be liable for any injury/ health conditions /emotional or other conditions suffered by the client during the trip. Similarly, our package cost does not include any personal insurances. Hence, we advise the clients to take adequate insurance packages to cover all medical emergencies and evacuation by helicopter etc.
