Trip Introduction:
Tharpa Chuli Peak (5,663m/18,575ft) or Tent Peak is located towards the south of the Annapurna Base Camp. The peak lies exactly opposite Mt. Machhapuchhrein the Annapurna Sanctuary region. Any avid trekker wishing to step into the world of mountaineering can opt for Tharpu Chuli. This peak provides a perfect opportunity to summit a Himalayan peak and feels the excitement run through. From the summit, you can see beautiful views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Hiunchuli and many others.
Tharpa Chuli Peak: The adventure
We begin our journey with a short drive from Pokhara to Nayapul. We trek through beautiful lush mid-hill forests. And also pass open terraced fields of local Gurung villages. Along the way, a short hike to Poon Hill and witness amazing scenic views of over ten mountains of the region. Further on we, travel through oak rhododendron forests and pass through Machhapuchhre and Annapurna South Base Camps.
We set our high camp at 5200m/17,056ft from where we head for the final summit push. The climb to this peak is a lifetime memory. Full satisfaction is almost guaranteed because of the natural scenic beauty the trip unfolds. Day 02 Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara
Day 03 Drive to New Bridge (Nayapul) (1,070m) and Trek to Ulleri via Tikhedhunga (1,540m)
Day 04 Trek from Tikhedunga to Ghorepani (2,850m)
Day 05 Hike to Poonhill (3,210m) & Tadapani (2,630m)
Day 06 Trek from Tadapani to Chhomorung (2,020m / 6 hours)
Day 07 Trek from Chhomoring to Dovan (2,500m) 4- 5 hours)
Day 08 Trek from Dovan to Deurali
Day 09 Trek from Deurali to Annapurna Base camp
Day 10 Trek from Annapurna Base camp to Tharpa Chuli Base Camp
Day 11 Trek from Base camp to High Camp
Day 12 Tharpa Chuli High Camp to Summit (4,870m) & Back to Basecamp
Day 13 Trek from Tharpa Chuli Basecamp to Bamboo
Day 14 Trek from Bamboo to Jhinu Dada
Day 15 Trek from Jhinu to Nayapul and Drive to Pokhara
Day 16 Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu & Transfer to Hotel, Farewell Dinner
Day 17 Transfer to Airport for Final Departure
